AI Tools 50 guide

3 AI automation tools I would test before hiring an assistant

Most solo operators do not need a full operations team before they have one repeatable workflow. They need a small tool stack that handles capture, drafting, and follow-up.

1. A capture tool

Start by collecting repeated requests in one place: leads, client questions, support requests, meeting notes, or content ideas. A simple form, inbox, or CRM field is enough.

2. An AI drafting step

Use AI to turn the captured input into a draft reply, summary, checklist, or next action. Keep a human review step until the output is consistently useful.

3. An automation connector

Use Zapier or a similar connector to route the result: notify yourself, update a CRM, create a task, or send a draft into the right workspace.

The practical test is simple: can this workflow save five hours a week? If yes, improve it. If no, pick a more frequent task.
